Full-time Loan Origination
Officer I – Main Office
(Opportunity Number: 100)

Must be available to work:
Monday through Friday 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM
and the required Saturdays

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and friendly professional who is detail oriented with previous lending or mortgage experience to service member’s financial needs in regard to the credit union’s consumer, mortgage, and business loans. The Loan Origination Officer will interview loan applicants to obtain personal and financial information to recommend appropriate products and services to members. This position will review loan applications, closing documents, and perform loan closings. Occasionally, this position will provide support to the underwriting department by conducting credit analysis, underwriting, and approving loans using established processes and policy. The Loan Origination Officer will support ECCU’s focus on member service and sales by educating members on the products and services through effective cross-selling techniques and will provide members with an extraordinary experience in accordance with the credit union’s core values.

This individual should fulfill the following qualifications:
-High school diploma, or equivalent, required; college degree preferred
-1 to 2 years lending experience, familiarity with mortgage or business lending desired
-Member service/sales experience
-Financial services industry experience
-Strong verbal and written communication and grammar skills
-
Ability to be bonded required
-Ability to be registered under the SAFE Act required
-Strong computer and application skills
-Ability to successfully organize, prioritize, and manage multiple priorities
-Ability to keep up with a busy work flow
-Ability to sit for long periods of time
-Team player with a positive attitude and flexibility
-Professional demeanor and personal accountability
